What “certified” means. Machine checks run veraPDF plus our own detectors; criteria needing judgment are recorded as named attestations. A document cannot certify while any check is failed or unresolved, and each one ships with a dated certificate. The compliance claim

Questions
What counts as one document?
One PDF file of up to 100 pages, whatever is in it. Two 5-page PDFs are two documents; one 90-page PDF is one. Files over 100 pages are quoted individually in whole documents (a 340-page file is quoted as four) and never draw from your pack until you accept the quote.
Do packs expire? Can I get a refund?
Prepaid documents never expire. Documents you have never started work on are refundable within 30 days of purchase, for any reason. Once remediation starts on a document it stops being refundable — but it never expires, stays in your balance, and counts at full value toward an Assured or Managed invoice.
If I refund part of a pack, do you re-rate what I used?
Yes — the bundle rate belongs to buyers who use the bundle. Documents you have already certified are charged at the rate their own quantity earns, and we refund the rest of what you paid. Buy the 1,000-document Agency pack at $15 and certify 400: those 400 earn the 200-pack rate of $22, so they cost $8,800 and your refund is $6,200. Documents you started work on but never certified are not refunded — they stay in your balance permanently and never expire.
Can I pay by purchase order instead of card?
Yes, at any size — not only above 2,500 documents. Ask for a quote and we will send a quote document and a W-9; on a purchase order we invoice you and add the documents to your balance. Card checkout is simply the fastest path when your organization allows it.
Can I mix packs?
Yes. Every purchase adds to the same balance for your organization. Every document in a pack costs the same, so buying Starter twice costs Starter twice — the rate only drops by choosing a bigger pack.
What do I still have to do myself?
Auto-Certified handles the machine work and re-verifies every fix. A few judgment calls — image descriptions, reading order on unusual layouts, colour decisions — come to you as short questions. If you’d rather not, Assured has our experts finish them and sign the certificate.
