One document is a PDF of up to 50 pages. Longer files count as one document per 50 pages: a 120-page PDF is three.* Two 5-page PDFs are two documents; one 40-page PDF is one. Every pack on this page counts documents the same way. *A few files need far more work than their page count suggests, such as scanned documents, maps and drawings, or very large files. Proof checks every file for free first and tells you before anything is spent. Those files show a fixed price you can accept or skip.

Nothing is spent. Skipping is free, the file stays in your library untouched, and the rest of your pack is unaffected. You can come back and accept the price later, or send the file to us instead.

Prepaid documents never expire. Documents you have never started work on are refundable within 30 days of purchase, for any reason. Once remediation starts on a document it stops being refundable — but it never expires, stays in your balance, and counts at full value toward an Assured or Managed invoice.

Yes — the bundle rate belongs to buyers who use the bundle. Documents you have already certified are charged at the rate their own quantity earns, and we refund the rest of what you paid. Buy the 1,000-document Agency pack at $15 and certify 400: those 400 earn the 200-pack rate of $22, so they cost $8,800 and your refund is $6,200. Documents you started work on but never certified are not refunded — they stay in your balance permanently and never expire.

Yes, at any size — not only above 2,500 documents. Ask for a quote and we will send a quote document and a W-9; on a purchase order we invoice you and add the documents to your balance. Card checkout is simply the fastest path when your organization allows it.

A pack includes one workspace and one seat, every fixer, re-verification of every fix, the certificate, webhooks, CSV export and scheduled re-checks. Several people in one workspace, assignments and approvals, or sign-in through your identity provider come with a team plan we set up with you — talk to us.

Yes. Every purchase adds to the same balance for your organization. Every document in a pack costs the same, so buying Starter twice costs Starter twice — the rate only drops by choosing a bigger pack.

Not unless you turn it on. Model training is off by default for every workspace, and a workspace administrator can switch it on or off at any time in Admin → Security. When it is on, we use the document’s structure, page renders, the changes each fix made, and your team’s review decisions — to improve our own accessibility models only. Your documents are never sold, never shared with other customers, and never given to a third party to train its models. The one exception is a free evaluation, where training use is the condition an administrator accepts before the workspace opens.

Often they are right, and where they are, we would rather you did that than paid us. If a document is still being written, a web page is the better answer: it reflows on any screen, and fixing the template fixes every future page. Where the PDF is the record (the form that was filed, the minutes as adopted, the report already cited by its address, the scan of a paper original), there is no web version to publish instead, and that is what these prices are for. Auto-Certified handles the machine work and re-verifies every fix. A few judgment calls — image descriptions, reading order on unusual layouts, color decisions — come to you as short questions. If you’d rather not, Assured has our experts finish and attest them. On a document Proof couldn’t finish, “Have Ockem do this” asks us for a price in documents, which you accept or decline in Proof.
