Who answers the human questions?

Auto-Certified or Assured. Every document leaves a few questions that only a person can answer, like what a photo shows. So who answers them? You choose, document by document. With Auto-Certified, the packs from the pricing lesson, Proof does the machine work, and someone on your team answers those questions. Most documents leave one or two of them. With Assured, Ockem's experts answer them for you. Either way, the document ends with the same kind of certificate. What changes is who stands behind the human checks.

What changes on the certificate

Why does that matter? Because the certificate says who confirmed each check a machine can't decide. With Auto-Certified, your organization confirms them, and the certificate says so. Ockem relies on that confirmation, and doesn't review it. With Assured, Ockem's experts make those confirmations, and the certificate says Ockem Proof attested them, on your behalf. If someone outside asks who checked the judgment calls, that's your answer.

When Assured makes sense

So when is Assured worth it? When your team doesn't have the time, or the expertise, to make those calls. It also helps when Proof can't finish a document on its own. Some files are built in a way that defeats automatic fixing. A few can't be processed at all. When that happens, Proof says so on the document, and offers Assured right there.

Asking Ockem to do it

Here's a document that was marked for manual rebuild. The note says who marked it, and why. To hand it to Ockem's experts, choose Have Ockem do this. The note now reads, Requested. Ockem will follow up with a quote. Nothing is taken from your balance by asking.

The quote

Ockem answers with a quote, priced in documents from your balance, not in dollars. Here, it's 3 documents. It's usually more than the document's page count alone would cost, because a person's time is part of the work. The offer stands for thirty days, and the note says until when. An organization admin answers it, here on the document, or on the Billing page under Quotes waiting on you. Choose Accept to go ahead, or Decline to leave the document as it is. Declining costs nothing. If you accept, those documents are held, and used only when the document is certified, as with any other document.

While the experts work

Once you accept, the note says Ockem Assured is under way. The expert works inside your workspace, on a support seat with an end date. It doesn't count against your seats. On the People page, that person is marked Ockem support, with the reason they're there and when their access ends. An admin can end it at any time.

For any other document

And for a document Proof could finish, but your team would rather not? On the Billing page, under Expert review, choose Ask about Assured. It starts an email to Ockem's team. Now you can decide who answers each document's human questions, ask Ockem's experts to take them on, and answer their quote.
